Changes and news from Westfield Playgroup and Parent &Toddler Group

The children at the Playgroup performed their Christmas Nativity and sang Christmas songs to family and friends earlier this month. We also had a Christmas raffle and sold Christmas tree photo decorations the children had made, raising in the region of £270 to go towards the cost of the much needed refurbishment of the children’s toilets. We would like to thank all those who donated raffle prizes, especially the businesses in the village who continue to support the Playgroup.

Westfield Christmas Lights on TV

ITV Breakfast Daybreak  visited Westfield early on the morning of Friday 16th December to film the Christmas lights before a hastily gathered group of villagers.  Congratulations to TV 'stars' Alan Heritage and Ken Munday, who said his lights first went up in 1976, and that they had collected around £17,500 for the Hospice over the years.  Music was provided by the Ore Salvation Army band (our own WCA Carols group could not be reassembled) who played out to 'We wish you a merry Christmas'.
