Westfield Community Association

Westfield Community Association was founded to promote the social and recreational well being of the inhabitants of Westfield and to provide facilities for achieving this aim. It comprises representatives from voluntary groups and individuals elected each year to form the Westfield Community Association Council. A copy of the constitution is available at the foot of this page but please note that this is being reviewed and will shortly be replaced.

WCA Events are organised throughout the year. The village fete, carols around the tree, coach outings, barn dances are just a few of the recent community events organised.

Westfield Village Fete. This year's fete took place on 2nd July. Visit the photo gallery to view some of the events.

Westfield Hall Management Committee. The Community Hall was built through the hard work of volunteers and is now used as a shared facility between the community and the local primary school. Its management committee is formed by representatives from the Association, ESCC and the school, and the Parish Council. A formal agreement governs the resposibilities of all parties and a copy of this is available at the foot of this page.

The Westfield Draw. This is a monthly lottery organised to raise funds for Westfield Community Association. The annual subscription, presently £10, may be paid for entry into the draw by completing the application form in May's WCA Newsletter or available to print from the attachment below, at the summer fete or by contacting the organiser Mrs Pauline Filsell-Page on 0778 607 8588. There are six monthly prizes of £50, £20, £15, 2 x £10 and £5 with a Christmas Bonus of £100. The draw takes place on the last Friday of the month in Strawberry Fair and/or Westfield News. Winners are notified and published in the Community Newletter.
